OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for an evolving global factory/contractor scheduling process; working with our IT group to make it adaptable to changing production planning and business conditions while ensuring that factories have been scheduled to fulfill the production plan created to meet demand. Lead global scheduling activities and ensure that individual factories are loaded with a consistent mix of product in a quantity they are well equipped to make. Interface as necessary with Sourcing, Operations, Quality Control, and Compliance to ensure customer expectations are met in each area and a positive customer service experience is achieved. Additionally, partner and interface with Logistics/Sourcing teams in a matrix organization to ensure global process consistency. REQUIREMENTS: 8-10 years experience of factory management and or planning and scheduling factories in the sewn products industry which includes China experience. Exposure to both knits and wovens in this capacity would be an advantage. Familiarity with cut and sew processes and an understanding of the capacities and limitations that exist in factories based on the labor and equipment in place and the products they have been set up to manufacture – the factories production profile. An understanding of the various systems of production that exist in factories along with their characteristics would be an advantage. Sensitive to the importance of quality assurance and product testing compliance in today’s account driven environment. Experience developing budgets and managing a planning group, along with solid analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and organizational skills The ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and with factories and accounts as needed. Able to participate in driving change with constrained resources in a dynamic, high growth environment Proficient in Microsoft office products along with exposure/experience with a larger computer systems environment. Able to converse in both Mandarin and English. EDUCATION A bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree required, or equivalent/relevant experience.
